Brad Yoder is an attorney and served as a District Court Magistrate in the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas and Elbert counties) for more than 25 years, hearing primarily domestic and juvenile cases before retiring from the District Court bench in 2009. Since then he has engaged in private mediation services in domestic cases through Brad Yoder Mediation, LLC. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law, has participated in mediation training through the court system, and has completed extensive mediation coursework. He received the Distinguished Jurist award from the Colorado chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 2005. He has presented at many Continuing Legal Education programs, and has made training presentations to other judicial officers at Colorado State Judicial Conferences. He has been certified as a Colorado soccer referee, and has also participated in training many CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates). He is also a part-time municipal judge for the City of Lone Tree. |
